(More customer reviews)The picture Amazon has of this product and the picture on the packaging itself is basically false advertising.The LCD display is completely transparent, but the picture shows a gray background behind it (which is what I'd expect).The display is almost impossible to read at any angle except straight on and if you put the timer on a dark surface (I have a black refrigerator and black granite counters) you can forget it.I called the number of the distributor on the back thinking this was a mistake, but she told me it was correct and even claimed the packaging showed it as being transparent.
