(More customer reviews)I bought this timer for use in my kitchen. It keeps time pretty well according to comparison with the timer on our microwave. It is made of plastic, which was as expected, but unfortunately it is not heat resistant plastic. The outside of the timer started to melt when exposed to the heat of the stove, so next time I'll know not to set it there.

I would recommend this to a friend, but with a warning not to keep it on the stove.
