(More customer reviews)We bought the red Alessi timer because it would have been a perfect fit for our kitchen. But, we had trouble getting it to work right and we're pretty sure that we broke it while messing with it. We're really not rough people; it just seems that the timer is much too easy to break. (Note: We learned that this timer must be turned all the way to 60 and then back to the time you want. The instructions don't say that. The timer still didn't work for us, but we think it was already broken by the time we learned about that.)

(More customer reviews)Timed it against two digital timers and it was off by as much as 5 minutes on the shorter times.It's seemed that as it timed down it got slower.Neither side was accurate.The ring is also very quiet.

(More customer reviews)I have only owned this product for a week, however it appears to work nicely. The best part of this timer is its design. Everyone who has seen it loves it.

One note about functionality: To operate this timer, you have to pull the "tape" all the way out (60 mins) then you use an adjustment wheel on the bottom to retract it to the time you want. The unit will only work if operated this way. I did not find this to be a negative, but it is a bit more work than you would expect just from looking at it.

(More customer reviews)The accuracy of this Kikkerland Extra Large timer is "right on".I checked it against our atomic clock.It's 8 and 5/8 ths inches square and protrudes about an inch.It will stick (magnetic) to any metal surface...like your refrigerator.We have all metal kitchen cabinets so we have loads of places to put it.So we bought 2...another one after we found how accurate, easy to read and always ready to use.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
